Mount Fuji (富士山 Fuji-san) is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft).[1] An active stratovolcano[5][6] that last erupted in 1707–08, Mount Fuji lies about 100 kilometres (60 miles) south-west of Tokyo, and can be seen from there on a clear day. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers. It is one of Japan's "Three Holy Mountains" (三霊山 Sanreizan?) along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku.

ภูเขาฟูจิ (ญี่ปุ่น: 富士山 Fuji-san ฟุจิซัง) เป็นภูเขาที่สูงที่สุดในประเทศญี่ปุ่น ราว 3,776 เมตร (12,388 ฟุต) ตั้งอยู่บริเวณจังหวัดชิซึโอะกะ(静岡県) และจังหวัดยะมะนะชิ(山梨県) ซึ่งอยู่ทางตะวันตกของจังหวัดโตเกียว(東京都) โดยในวันที่อากาศแจ่มใสสามารถมองเห็นจากโตเกียวได้ ในปัจจุบันภูเขาได้ถูกจัดโดยนักวิทยาศาสตร์อยู่ในลักษณะของภูเขาไฟที่มีโอกาสปะทุต่ำ โดยภูเขาไฟระเบิดครั้งล่าสุดในปี พ.ศ. 2250 (ค.ศ. 1707) ใน ยุคเอโดะ
ภูเขาฟูจิ มีชื่อในภาษาญี่ปุ่นว่า "ฟุจิซัง" ซึ่งในหนังสือในสมัยก่อนจะถูกเข้าใจผิดเรียกว่า ฟุจิยะมะ (ฟูจิยาม่า) เนื่องจากตัวอักษรคันจิตัวที่ 3 (山) ที่สามารถอ่านได้สองแบบ ทั้ง ยะมะ และ ซัง
